The article highlights the necessity of ensuring interactivity in higher foreign language education. The methodological foundations of the experimental work are substantiated: the priority of student’s personality development, introducing culture as content, choice of the methodology for studying literature as a subject of the aesthetic cycle. The experience of creating and using problem-solving tasks to ensure interactivity in the course “Literature of the target language countries” is described.
