The purpose of this research is to study the implementation of the “TIME” concept in the works by W. Shakespeare with the use of meta-modernist optics. The concept of “TIME” is realized in the meaning of “clock”, can be used in a metonymical sense, which makes it meta-modern. The role of “time” can be played by a hero, or a choir. In the Tempest time becomes the main “core” of the narrative, referring to different space-time coordinates, similar to the use characteristic of the 21st century narrative. Time also plays a meta-textual role.
