The features of the spatial distribution of natural, historical and cultural heritage of the city of Kharkiv are analyzed. The necessary arrangements to preserve heritage objects in major administrative centers are identified. To optimize data on heritage sites it is suggested to use GIS- mapping, which should provide improvement of the informational system storage, as well as update the use of modern mapping techniques using GIS.
