This article describes the problems associated with teaching chemistry in the system of secondary professional non-core level. Among them are such problems as a low level of school knowledge, a small number of hours, non-core teachers, the lack of a full volume of laboratory workshops, the irrelevance of chemistry for students and others. the analysis of the results of the entrance control in chemistry of first-year students of the Academy of Restoration and Design is also given. The article presents examples of basic chemistry topics from the sample program and examples of their corresponding professional-oriented contents. methods of solving the described problems are also proposed, such as: micro-learning technology in chemistry lessons, the use of contextual learning, the development of creative potential in practical and group classes, and others.
