Методическое наследие В. Н. Верховского и его значение для современной школы

The article analyzes the most important achievements of V. N. Verkhovsky in the field of formation and development of chemical education in secondary school. It is noted that he was at the origins of the creation of a systematic chemistry course and did a lot for its methodological equipment. V. N. Verkhovsky took part in the development of programs, writing textbooks, workshops, in the creation of workbooks on chemistry. Under his leadership, the first manual for teachers on the methodology of teaching chemistry was written. It is shown that V. N. Verkhovsky’s methodological ideas are still relevant today.
