Tourist and excursion activities in this case are designed to solve this problem. The introduction of a person to another culture will contribute to the formation of harmonious interethnic relations and a dialogue of cultures. The author suggests creating a cycle of excursions in St. Petersburg «Foreigners in St. Petersburg», aimed at familiarizing residents and guests of the city with foreign cultures, the contribution of different peoples to the construction and functioning of the city. According to the author, this excursion cycle will solve a number of problems. It will act as a means of forming a tolerant attitude towards other nationalities and cultures, will help to form the image of St. Petersburg as an international city, will contribute to the preservation and development of cultural heritage monuments bearing traces of other cultures.
