The article presents the results of the photo contest «GEOfocus.RU» (2019 and 2021), which is held by the Faculty of Geography in order to increase the prestige of the profession of geographer and create an electronic database of highly artistic photographs depicting geographical objects, processes and phenomena for use in the educational process of universities and schools. The main result of the competition was the creation of an electronic educational resource «GEOfocus», the description of which is presented in the article.
